Lanikai Lookout is a fictional coastal reserve inspired by the serene beauty and rich cultural heritage of Hawaii’s windward shores. The concept began as a nature-focused branding exercise that evolved into a full visual identity system, weaving together the spirit of the islands with a sense of elevated exploration. The goal was to create an immersive platform that speaks to both outdoor adventurers and lovers of Hawaiian culture, celebrating the breathtaking landscapes, ancient legends, and tranquil waters that define the Lanikai coastline experience.

Persona & User Scenario
Joe Makoa is a 28-year-old teacher from Honolulu who spends his weekends looking for outdoor experiences that feel rooted in real Hawaiian culture. He hears about Lanikai Lookout from a coworker, pulls up the site on his phone, and browses the About section to get a feel for the place. Drawn in by the story, he heads over to Events and locks in on the Hula and Fish at Night experiences, thinking they’d be perfect for a class trip. He checks the Tickets page to compare the Land and Water Pass options before committing, then visits the Blog to read a personal experience post and get a sense of what the visit will actually feel like on the ground.

The Conclusion
What I’ve learned during this project was that WordPress was really hard, however it’s a useful skill to Maintain and grow since it doesn’t require code. I liked how this project was an expansion of a past project of our own and seeing it come to life was amazing to see.
