It all began in 1987, on the shores of Lanikai where the roots run deep, the water runs clear, and the land speaks for itself. What started as a dream to honor the natural beauty of the island grew into Lanikai Lookout Park, a place built on the belief that the earth has something to teach us if we’re willing to listen.

Surf & Learn — July 20.
Beginners welcome. Experts encouraged. Whether it’s your first time on a board or your thousandth, spend a day and join park rangers, local instructors, and the North Shore surf community. Lessons, talks, and plenty of time.
Fish at Night — July 21
Beginners welcome. Experts too. When the sun drops behind the mountains, the ocean comes alive in a different way. Join us for a night of shoreline fishing under the stars with local anglers, park staff, and lifelong fishermen who know these waters best.
Hula by the Ocean — July 24.
All ages, all experience levels. As the afternoon light softens over the bay, gather on the sand for an evening of hula. Gentle lessons in basic steps, hand motions, and the stories behind the dances, followed by a live performance.
